Evaluation Task 7 : Looking back at your premliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

The process between the first and time we shot a scene until we finally finished our final film piece shows a huge development in the cases of the technical aspect but also in the directing aspect. The very first time we shot a scene we did not really know how to use the camera and how to edit the scene so that it looks smooth and fluent. We made a lot of mistake the first time but that was a very useful aspect in the matter of learning out if the mistakes and making it better for the next time. Now we have much more skills and a larger knowledge with the camera, editing and all the things that are useful to know for a perfect shooting, lighting and angle.

The first idea draft of our script ended up with a lot of changes and situation improvisations. Frist you plan out everything very well and you know how it is supposed to work, but when you are in the process of making your product, you get more ideas on the location place and you try out different things that might work. In the end your project never looks like you first thought it would look like. Also after you have shot everything your experiment with sound effects and the music which can add a whole new atmosphere to the plot and can change the whole meaning of it. Your technical skills grow and you become braver to try more things out.

I personally learned a lot about the importance of the other team members. Because if you have got an idea and your team members do not like it you are unable to ever realize it. You have to really fight for everything that you want to do, because in this kind of work everybody is very convinced by themselves. Also when I was watching the others doing some work, I had my own ideas how I would do it. You learn a lot about the focused creativity. For some it is quite easy to be creative when they are under pressure and for others it is quite hard. It is therefore very important that you always work as a team to support each other even when you disagree. Every member of the team is important and necessary to realize the product.

Evaluation Task 6 : What have you about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Evaluation Task 5 : How did you attract/address your audience?

Our main character is a young pretty girl, she could represent anybody but most of all the younger generation. Girls particularly sympathize with her and boys feel attracter to her. The audience members that we would have for sure are therefore a younger generation, mainly from the middle until upper-class, because this is what our character represents. She comes from a ‘normal’ middleclass family who seems to be ‘the nice girl from the neighborhood’.

But because our film is not an action or horror film, the main audience will be dominated by girls, even though the fact that boys like only violence and action is a prejudice, in most cases it is true. Especially in our film where we are mainly focused on the isolation effect of our main character, it may be not so interesting for somebody who is expecting to see a lot of blood and zombies. We decided not show go into that direction, because this is what the commotional audience is expecting to be. We wanted to surprise they society with something new and much more realistic, than having wild zombies killing everybody.

How We Came Up With Our Album Concept:

We really liked the Sigur Ros album Cover which looks like an old Polaroid picture, therefore we wanted to have a Polaroid in the picture. -
or like the Vampire Weekend covers-
Because we want our Artist and therefore the album to be quite personal, we wanted the album to look like it was shot in his living place. (on his table etc.) That's why we also wanted to have personal items on the table such as keys etc.

The inside of the ablum cover is going to be 'his' writing, saying thank you etc. It looks always nice when an artist writes something personal. -
